Deborah has made one of the biggest decisions of her life and her children or rather some of her six children do not like it at all, no not one little bit. It wasn’t as if her children were young or even living at home any more. Her oldest – Abigayle was in fact thirty-one years of age and her youngest – Felix was twenty-six years old and he had just completed his fourth year in medical school. The others were married, engaged or just enjoyed being single, on the loose and playing the field. However, the one thing they all had in common was that they were so used to her being close at hand when they need something, so when she informed them that she was moving three provinces away for a job, they were not happy.
This was a dream coming true for her and she was not going to let anything or anyone stop her from achieving this dream. She had been a stay at home mom and wife since she was seventeen, but when her husband passed away eight years ago, she completed her GED, entered college and then university. Now, after seven years of hard work, she had completed her Master’s Degree and had been offered a job as a Sessional Professor in a prestigious Canadian university.
However, she had no idea what her Lord God had in store for her. Only He would have, could have known that an accident on her first day of being in Halifax was going to occur. Only He would know how much her life was going to change, in such a dramatic way. Gertrude was the name she gave her E-bike, a gift her children had pooled their money together bought her as a graduation gift, when she graduated with Masters in Social Work.
Who could have known that on her very first tour of the new community she was just getting to know, she would be involved in a little mishap and spill that had her crashing head first into a trio who would forever change her reasons for being in Halifax. Not only would she discover a ministry in which Daddy, her pet name for her Lord and Savior, but she would find a group of people who were searching and moving in the gifts Daddy had given them and she just might have fallen, crashed into romance at the same time.
Come on back to see where and what and who Deborah meets with and see if she finds, what some might call destiny or purpose for her life and for her future.
